Tata Social Internship interns wrap up with a Seminar with DOCC students
On 2 September, 2016 the Tata Social Internship ‘Building Bridges Across Boundaries’ seminar was held with students from LSE (UK), Cambridge (UK), UC Davis (US), and S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai). The Tata Social Internship interns had worked for two months on the CSR projects of Tata companies while the SPJIMR students were from the college’s centre for Development of Corporate Citizenship. Presentations were made on four topics: healthcare, education and skill development, internal migration, rural development and entrepreneurship based on their project experiences. The interaction enabled valuable discussion on these topics, as well as, a cross-cultural exchange. Dr Nirja Mattoo, chairperson, DOCC as well as SPJIMR faculty members, Colin Wells, Dy Head of Mission, British Dy High Commission and Tata representatives were also present. With this 9th edition of Tata Social Internship the programme now has 145 alumni.
